Paper Plates
Paper Plates is an alt pop duo based in Wellington NZ. Inspired by ‘staring at the ceiling’ kind of days, the artist duo focuses their music on capturing emotions through explosive build ups and immersive soundscapes. Artist influences including Beach House and LCD Soundsystem, this dynamic duo will send you swirling into mood spaces swirling with synths, guitar swells and smoky vocals.
Consisting of powerful vocalist and eccentric drummer/multi instrumentalist, the two artists met in 2017 and clashed their past influences of classical, jazz, psychedelic and pop to create a blended soundscape that will send you into a trance.
The duo have just released their debut single, “Wait” in early September, which is part of their upcoming EP, “Playground Walls”, that was released late September.
